Hi Franklin,

Finally made it to Villa la Angostura some 53 hours after I left home! First part of journey from Edinburgh to London went well, thereafter things went awry! So, I arrived almost a full 24 hours later than planned and day that I had planned to spend reading congress papers etc and some R & R was lost (in airport lounges). Also, I am very tired!

Thus far only Eric Ruch and Dinand Knol have arrived at hotel at which I am staying with Alan, Nol, Med and Soren to arrive later today. It is a very nice place! The scenery at Bariloche airport reminded me of the hills and lochs (lakes) in the Scottish Highlands back home! (but no Scots pine trees!). Very impressed with everything so far. Unfortunately missed dinner with Max and Ruth Ann last night due to my late arrival.

Hopefully everyone will be in a conciliatory mood and we will not have any unpleasantness. Work starts to-morrow!
