The following is my best attempt to
provide a complete list of the 1/2 Annas of Victoria 1862-1877.
In general, the list provided in Standard Catalog of
World Coins (Krause) is excellent. The proofs, patterns
and restrikes are not listed below. The 1877 issue has the
"wide 7" and "narrow 7" variation, which
can be used to identify the coin by mint if the obverse
type is impossible to determine due to heavy wear (all too
likely with this series).
The coin was minted at all three mints
as indicated in the listings. The diameter of the coin indicates
the mint on the 1862 issues.
