1 October 2011 - Scott Kelby's 4th Annual Worldwide Photo Walk (Marshall, Michigan walk) with Olympus PEN E-PL2/14-150 lens

I enjoy participating in the annual Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk. This year I found a walk in Marshall, Michigan, a very attractive town. We started at the public library, as shown in the first photo below. There are some very attactive house and buildings plus some fun shops.

Just for fun I took several "self portraits". There was so much sunlight and so many reflective windows that it was easy to find real possibilities. In each case, following something I saw done in last year's walk in Jackson, MI, I tried to compose the photo and then look up to show my face. If you look carefully you can see that I've rotated my viewfinder 90 degrees so I could look directly down into the camera to compose. This made it much easier to compose and then look up, since I didn't need to move the camera. Of course, I still have many examples of ruining my composition while looking up (it's hard not to move the camera a bit). Still, this is better than self portraits showing me looking into the camera.
