1 May 2014 - Mason High School Play - The Musical "Oklahoma"
On Thursday May 1, 2014 Mason High School presented the first of three performances of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical "Oklahoma!". I had intended to go to the Friday night performance but I had already signed up for the annual Mason State Bank 5K race for that night. This show is a bit of a family tradition, in that my wife Anne and I (plus other family members) have in the past been in performances of this show. Since I was born and grew up in Oklahoma this is no surprise, but it was a real joy to see my grandson Tobias Webb continue this tradition. He played Will Parker in this show. As you may tell from my photos he was the main subject of my camera, but hopefully everyone in the show was adequately documented. The show went well with some fine performances. We all held our breath during the rather exciting fight scene, since we've seen injuries in the past when things got hectic on stage.
