4 July 2015 - Civil War Reenactors representing the 7th Michigan Voluntary Infantry Co. The 7th Michigan Voluntary Infantry Co. B reenactors provided a display at the Mason Area Historical Museum called "Civil War Living". One display demonstrated a pup tent and various equipment and materials used by the soldiers. Men decked out in uniforms of the time described the displays to visitors. A group of women were dressed in fashions of the day and worked on crafts such as crocheting and quilting. There was also a display of period toys. During the civil war the various military units were organized and fitted out by the states. This organization represents a Michigan unit.
