My wife and I drove about 45 minutes to visit Chelsea, Michigan for two photo walks with lunch in between. Chelsea turned out to be an excellent choice with a balance between residential, business and industrial areas. We had lunch at a favorite, the Common Grill. We also enjoy a meal at this excellent restaurant right in the middle of town. There are several photos below of our lunch experience.

Like many Michigan towns we have visited, we found plenty very attractive house to admire. Since I love architecture photography this is a real delight to me. You will see one house photo after another on this web site, possibly a bit boring for those not so fond of looking at houses in abundance. Chelsea also has a nice train station, some interesting industrial buildings.

As a cook interested in updating our old kitchen I was delighted to visit the marvelous Heydlauff's Applicances Store on Main Street. Ben Kellogg showed me around their excellent collection of gas ranges. I look forward to a return visit in the near future.

Following photos taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 micro four thirds camera. Most photos were taken with the original Olympus 14-150/4-5.6 lens. The exceptions are four photos taken inside the Common Grill restaurant, which were taken with the Rokinon 7.5/3.5 fisheye lens (manual focus). ISO 400 was used for most of the photos (a few indoor shots were at ISO 1250), hand held using the Olympus IBIS (in-body image stabilization). All photos are JPEGs straight from the camera with moderate sharpening during the resizing process.
