29 September 2015 - Oracle Financial Solutions Ribbon Cutting |
29 September 2015 - Oracle Financial Solutions Ribbon Cutting in Mason It's usually quite interesting to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony. You learn something about a local business and get a chance to tour the building. I've been watching the work on the old Shopping Guide Building on Ash Street across from the Ingham County Courthouse for some months, but now the scaffolding in front and the fences in the alley behind are all gone and the completely refurbished building is open. According to a Mason Today article, this was a $2.75 million development project of two properties, 124 and 140 East Ash Street, which were two of the oldest buildings in Mason dating back to 1863 and the mid 1870's. They have now been converted to 10 1-bedroom apartments and a headquarters for Oracle Financial Solutions. Oracle will occupy the first floor plus meeting rooms on the third floor. The second floor will have eight apartments with two additional apartments on the third floor. Below are photos of the impressive board room on the top floor with its adjoining roof terrace offering spectacular views of downtown Mason. All photos of the ribbpn cutting were taken with an Olympus OM-D E-M1 camera with an Olympus PRO 12-40/2.8 lens. The photos inside the building were taken with the Rokinon 7.5/3.5 fisheye lens. Perhaps a fisheye lens was not the best choice for all the indoor/rooftop shots, but I sure am having fun with this new lens! Click on photos to see a larger version in a popup window. |
