7 May 2016 - Annual Spring Fling

Once again Mason celebrated the coming of Spring with the annual Spring Fling the day after the Mason State Bank 5K race. The historic Ingham County Courthouse is surrounded by booths with vendors of various products (many of them created by local artisans) and play areas for children. My favorites are usually the "church ladies" who sell baked goods to support various activities. They are charming and the goodies are frequently memorable. The vendors are set up around the courthouse on all four sides. Youll see many colorful displays of products in the photos below. My favorite was the Mason-based "Project Armory" group which produce leather & steel armor, and provide custom designing & consultation. They can been visited on-line at Etsy and Facebook.
